Vancouver Island West School District 84 promotes occupational health and safety in the workplace to protect workers and other persons present at District worksites from work related risks to their health and safety. Each worksite has specific employees dedicated to ensuring a healthy and safe work environment by conducting regular inspections, communicating and investigating. As well, one employer and one worker representative from each worksite sits on the District OH&S Committee, which meets at least once each year.
